Re: Need a hug
Hi all Thank you for your supportive comments. Been in my pyjamas since Friday lunchtime but feel better now. Life goes on so they say and I'm beginning to think this could be the best thing that could have happened to me. I feel like I've been a bit of an idiot in giving so much and getting so litt...

Re: Need a hug
[quote="Susie" It's because of guilt. Also people build up a self-image which justifies them behaving the way they do and because they know deep down it's bollocks they react really aggressively if anyone contradicts it.[/quote] This is so true. Just had a conversation with ex where he tol...

Re: Need a hug
Can't sleep tonight so am catching up on emails etc. Your emails and support are great and again you are right. He tried to get into the house today while I was at work. I bolted the front door from the inside then left by the back door. When I came home I noticed the beautiful hand-made stained gla...

Re: Need a hug
Thank you all for your hugs and support. I really appreciate it. You are of course right. It wasn't meant to be and eventually (thank you Ruth G) I will realise this, move on and find someone else. It was a shock really but I suppose it always is. The details are just too much to think about now but...

Need a hug
My partner of 8 years left today. I thought I would spend the rest of our lives together.
I didn't realise until today how little respect he has for me and how cruel people can be.
Good job I have the garden, which looks great by the way.

:hugish: Understand how you feel. We're not cut out for visitors either. OH's best friend comes for the weekend roughly 6 times a year and while he is easy guest, friendly etc it's still nice when he leaves. Last time he was here he had been through a ferrel period in Wales somewhere. I heard the do...

Advice about perennials
I've been assuming that the perennials I planted two weeks ago and which are now approx an inch/inch a half high won't flower this year and would need to wait until next summer. On a plant and seed seller website they are selling other perennials and say they will flower this year which has made me ...

First ever Harvest
Just thought I'd share with you that I picked my first ever Harvest yesterday. Peas and Broad Beans. Delicious! I'm still amazed I've managed to grow anything other than herbs. I can see this could become and obsession. There are no disadvantages to trying to live a self-sufficient life, even the co...
