1. Put my name down for the local town ground force which does clean ups, tidy ups and bulb planting type activities to cheer the place up
2. Made contact with a local older people's forum again - informative speakers and nice people
3. Accepted that I will not find work again as I'm of pensionable age with too much experience and living in a rural area with too few opportunities
4. Accept that the allotment is in reasonable fettle so that it should be fully productive from now on and just needs the usual graft to keep it that way
What else for the next year?
1. Get back into the habit of reading more rather than just looking things up on the internet
2. Repair the decorations in the bedroom and then accept that the flat is as good as it will ever be allowing for it's age and history
3. Design my own greetings cards using computer software and accept that I've not the patience to do fancy ones by hand
4. Keep down the clutter - clutter is a bad family habit and needs to be broken
5. Eat less of those nice, fattening foods I like (think cheese and chocolate

And even have a second, serious attempt at nothing new for a year
