I've been looking at your photos - it looks really gorgeous where you are! Is it always so green though? Looks like you must get a nice lot of rain in summer!

Where we are does seem to be very green, it's started to go brown but not as bad as some area, we've not had any rain for a few weeks.

The Waikato, the region we are in is pretty damp and wet in the winter, but not as cold as the UK winter.

Jack has been known to refer to the North Island and mud island! But he's a South Islander...what do they know!!

Glad you liked the photos. Have you read my blog? I really need to update it, I've not added anything since Christmas

Yes I did read your blog! Got a bit lost in New Zealand this morning, looking at the blue skies, thinking of the friendly people and reminiscing about when I went travelling there in the 80s......... I don't often spend much time looking at blogs, honest!

Allright, don't rub it in, I look at the wall from my desk!

I do have a nice view over my garden and pond from some of the windows in the house though!

Gidday

Oy Oy. I resemble that remark you made about me.

Anyway, the reason I call it Mud Island is because I lived many year longer than you are old in Mud Island and am now a refugee from the mud and the mortgage.

And now this is the view from our door.

No mud in sight Eh!
