Hello!

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

Hello!

Post: # 51045Post Bonniegirl »

Hi I was playing with my Google and I found this site & forum!

Initially I was reading a thread about self sufficiency on another forum here in New Zealand (Hi Jack! I promise....I ain't stalking ya!! What are the odds of finding you here too! ) and clicked on the link and here I am!

I live in Hamilton in NZ and we will have been here for 3 years in April, initially we are from Luton, so a townie, but we had an allotment and we grew a heaps of veggies there and in our garden.

Here we have 5 1/2 acres, we have cows, sheep, pigs, chooks and goats, some of those we raise for meat and the goats are my hobby and I like to show them.

Our veggie plot was a long time in coming and took some planning and preparation to get it right but we've have a good year considering how long it took us to get anything planted.

I don't know how truly self sufficient we will ever be but we haven't bought any veg, eggs or meat for months now having managed to provide all that ourselves.

So good to meet you guys and I'll fill you in on more info as we go along...how does that sound??

Pitty really because I would never even think of picking on them.
