I have today started off alfalfa, lentils and mung beans for growing indoors, hubby loves stirfrys, but iwas wondering if there is anything i can grow outside at the moment,
also will it be ok to move my fruit bushes, they are dormant at the moment
you have to keep the alfalfa in a jar with the bottom raised slightly, and in a warn temerature, i used the airing cupboard
you also have to wash them daily, the same applies to the lentils,
Mung beans are easier, i place mine in a magarine tub on a piece of tissue , then covered top with cling film and then newpaper, you can keep them anywhere, as long as they are kept covered.
I use a jar with muslin streached over the top and held on with a rubber band, soak the beans for 6 hrs in water then drain through the muslin and leave tipped up a bit so the water can run out. everyday fill the jar 2/3 fill of warm water and swish round then drain again.
keep doing this till th sprouts are big enough for you to munch on
