Self-sufficiency and the weather

Post: # 3173Post alcina »

You may know this, but I thought I'd submit it: http://www.metcheck.com Enter your postcode and get the weather for your area, including the "Garden Forcast" which gives you the prediction of frost for the next 7 nights. Vital at this time of year!

http://pages.britishlibrary.net/patgardiner/index.htm Self-sufficiency in style. The author pulls no punches in his comments and why should he? He is talking about his own experiences with total self-sufficiency and offers his own opinions about who, why and how. This is the only place I've seen "self-sufficiency begins in the kitchen" explicitly stated, and I believe he is absolutely spot on with that observation. The site can be hard to navigate, but if you manage to do so, you'll be rewarded with some deep insight into the sometimes harsh realities of self-sufficiency.

Thanks for those links. It looks as though we have quite a few days of rain on the way.

Looks like I will be on slug patrol! :(

Not sure what to make of Pat he certainly is quite opinionated. Will have to ask Naiomi (a selfsufficientish member) who got him to talk to her group.
