Scotland swelters in the heat!

Post: # 22069Post ina »

Half an hour ago it was still 20 degree... Unbearably hot! :sunny:

How do you folk manage to work in a warm climate?

I'm with you there! It's well warm enough for me today and it's only going to get hotter - great fun in the paddling pool with the small boy - and then the plants got a good watering!

Well, yes, Martin, except for the easterly breeze we on the coast had to endure ...'twas OK in the sun but in the shade or indoors with a window open ... brrr ...

I'm about 12 miles inland (roughly north of Eastbourne), and in quite a sheltered spot - it was sweltering in the garden, but did notice the wind still had a bit of a chill in it when I took the dogs for a walk! 8)
Still jolly nice though! :flower:
I have a new way at looking at a windy day "Good wind turbining day today!"

Funny thing was - I had an email from my Dad back in Oz, saying it was a cool day as the temperature had dropped to 18C.

I was having a look at my weather diary for last year, and there were only two days where the temperature rose above 20C up here. Both times it just nudged 21C. That's about half what I would describe as hot!
