Re: A job with a difference!
Oh Ina, thanks for that, I was really tempted to apply. It sounds like such good fun. I could certainly pass for a witch (comedy cartoon type witch not a real one of course as I don't have any training) and I can certainly cackle. There is only one tiny problem, you have to stay in the caves overnight and I'm claustrophobic. The last time I went to Wookey Hole, my knees went all wobbly. While that might be entertaining for the kids, I'm not sure it's the look they are after.
Cheers

Unfortunately I don't look like a witch - somehow they aren't normally overweight with short hair and wearing jeans and t-shirt...
Otherwise I'd apply like a shot- cave no problem, and not having to dust - wonderful - and my cat could come along - hooray!

Re: A job with a difference!
Next week is my last week in my job - so I'm rather tempted. I did tell my work mates about it and they all said that I'd be really good at it!
The trouble is I'm not sure how the head master would react to the reference request!

It would be a helluva commute to Somerset, Milims, even on your broomstick!

Re: A job with a difference!
Ahh but I have friends in Bristol that I could stay with, so the commute would be quite so far!

For a whole year?
Will they still be friends?
(or is this job only for a few weeks or months - I didn't notice when reading the bumph)

Re: A job with a difference!
It's only for the summer hols and christmas hols. But it's ok - it seems I won't have to apply - I've been offered an interview for a job in the school that I'm leaving next week! They ain't getting their tree back if I get the job!

Re: A job with a difference!
That's brilliant! Is it the same job as you've been doing or something completely different? I'm assuming different as they want to interview you, but for all I know they might have to interview you again to do the same job!
Milims reply:-
It's a different job with the same school! At the mo I'm a music technician but the intervew is for a Learning Support Assistant - and I still get the summer hols off!

Re: A job with a difference!
I'm glad i'm not the only one who does that sort of thing!

it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.
Re: A job with a difference!
I'd be a shoe in for the job! I even have references (I work with kids with special needs - though none of them have called me witch up to this point some of them have sure implied it!).
