Oh Ina, thanks for that, I was really tempted to apply. It sounds like such good fun. I could certainly pass for a witch (comedy cartoon type witch not a real one of course as I don't have any training) and I can certainly cackle. There is only one tiny problem, you have to stay in the caves overnight and I'm claustrophobic. The last time I went to Wookey Hole, my knees went all wobbly. While that might be entertaining for the kids, I'm not sure it's the look they are after.

Cheers
Zoe

Unfortunately I don't look like a witch - somehow they aren't normally overweight with short hair and wearing jeans and t-shirt... Otherwise I'd apply like a shot- cave no problem, and not having to dust - wonderful - and my cat could come along - hooray!

Next week is my last week in my job - so I'm rather tempted. I did tell my work mates about it and they all said that I'd be really good at it! :? The trouble is I'm not sure how the head master would react to the reference request!

It would be a helluva commute to Somerset, Milims, even on your broomstick!

Ahh but I have friends in Bristol that I could stay with, so the commute would be quite so far!

It's only for the summer hols and christmas hols. But it's ok - it seems I won't have to apply - I've been offered an interview for a job in the school that I'm leaving next week! They ain't getting their tree back if I get the job!

That's brilliant! Is it the same job as you've been doing or something completely different? I'm assuming different as they want to interview you, but for all I know they might have to interview you again to do the same job!

Milims reply:-

It's a different job with the same school! At the mo I'm a music technician but the intervew is for a Learning Support Assistant - and I still get the summer hols off!

I'd be a shoe in for the job! I even have references (I work with kids with special needs - though none of them have called me witch up to this point some of them have sure implied it!).
