Long-time no see!!!

Post: # 160496Post Super.Niki »

Hi all!!
:hugish:
I'm back (from outta space...) havn't been aorund much lately (uni, moving, loss of laptop, working, laziness... ). How is it all going with everyone?

At the moment I'm working in Cirencester at a summer camp as an activity leader and tomorrow (Saturday) I'll be taking about 31 Italian kids into Salisbury Cathederal and they'll have some freetime afterwards (we're going to Stonehenge first!! WOO!!!). So! Any of the Ishers want to meet up if you live near Salisbury? They'll be heading off for shopping time and I'll be left on my lonesome for ages!! :( If so, drop me a message and I'll give you my number and stuff!! I love meeting Ishers :flower: , you're all lovely even if I don't come one here very often!!!

Hope everyone is well!

Lots of hugs

Niki

Hiya Niki, good to hear from you!

I don't envy you your job - I'll keep my fingers crossed you get all your Italian kids back after their free time tomorrow... I used to be a tour guide on coaches with adults - that was difficult enough to get them all back on the coach!

Long time no sea.........as the dead fish said, on my trawler!
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.

Hi Niki,

Welcome back, I noticed you hadn't posted in a bit and was about to ask Fee how you were.

Glad you had a good outing with the kids.

Lots going on here.

Change of boyfriend, roadside stand getting finished as I type and the garden is going bananas.

Not many eggs this year as I haven't been able to get replacement hens. But we have enough for ourselves.

I got a mini-van for Christmas and on Palm Sunday we took my donkey to church in it.

A hay shed is next on the agenda as my donkey is asthmatic and his vet said to get the hay out of the barn and clean the barn with a Shop-Vac to get rid of all the dust we could.

I got another cat, he got lost for 10 days recently but luckily was found and is safe at home again.

We've been freezing strawberries and rhubarb, next we have to freeze some spinach and kale, then put stakes and strings up for the peas. We have a spaghetti squash climbing the fence and LOTS of courgettes (zucchini) right now.

We have over 125 tomato plants, other squash, melons, cukes, red cabbage and a pumpkin among other things and lots of salad greens. We actually spaced the mizuna out right this year and its growing great.

Take Care of yourself and get someone to give you a hug for me.

 Lois

wow yugogypsy seems like you've been upto loads!!!

Poor donkey, sorry to ehar that but atleast you and the vet know what can be done to make s/he better :)

Lucky on the mini-van! I got a car a few months ago... but not the liscence yet... so, I've not increased my carbon footprint yet...

Have you actually got any tomoatos on your tomato plants? I always seem to grow great plants but they NEVER produce tomatos?! What am I doing wrong?!

Niki,

I sent you a PM about the tomatoes and yes its been a bit mad around here at time.

Donkey is a he, 30 yr. old gelding, his proper name is "Phantasy Pharms Daniel Ben Amigo" but we call him Pinky, because he is. (Look up my post on a donkey in church, I posted a picture.

We aren't using either vehicle that often right now as we can't afford the gas, but my van is very useful. (see my post on sidewalk shopping)

Today we get hay with it. It hauls a dozen bales of hay.

Mostly we are home here on my little acre, either working in the garden or doing something else to improve the look of the place.

I was without my PC for several months too, so I know how that goes.
LOL did I do a lot of reading ,knitting and crocheting from Oct. until Mar.

Sure missed being able to do research for my book and dropping in here.

Take Care
 Lois
