MMM - no, not a mole - we have spina bifida in our family, so Gail had her scans while pregnant & we were actually told that all was ok - got the scan pix with perfect little teeth all there... and then when she was born, she had a cleft lip, cleft gum & cleft palate... all a bit shocking in the delivery room as it wasn't expected.
She still has a couple of ops to go - one to fix the gap in her gum by her front teeth & another to cosmetically adjust her lip - the surgeon left a ball of tissue near her scar on her inner lip to give the docs something to work with when she's bigger.
At the recent parent/teacher interview the other week, the teacher told Gail that Leah was being bullied a bit at school, but that she was keeping a VERY close eye on it... Gail asked if it was to do with her 'scarring'..... the teacher asked 'what scarring?? No, it's because she's a year younger than the rest & they try to boss her around'....
Tis ok though - teacher says that Leah refuses to be bossed about & holds her own VERY well! Haha!
Edited to say: The piccy of her in the bath is one of my very favourites... but that 'washable' bath paint lied - took us weeks to get the stains off her skin!
