Too late for tomatoes?
I've got some yellow 'tumbling tom' cherry tomatoes in some hanging baskets. They're only about an inch high so far so I think you'll be okay. I only planted out some plum tomato seeds last weekend.... not worrying because last year I didn't start germinating until May as I was moving house.. should be plenty of time for them to get going..

I decided to grow some in the garden under cover, bought a grobag (peat free!) and planted some good size plants from the nursery to get a good start just 3 days ago
Despite some lovely weather my biggest plant has been going yellow from the bottom up with dark spots on leaves - I think its blight, some spots also on the plant next to it
Should I continue and spray or give up and replant using a new grobag. Will the next crop get infected due to spores in the area?

I think it is perhaps a bit early for blight..
However, if you use rainwater from a butt and it is going directly onto the leaves, then the humidity and temperature could help blight spores... perhaps even if you water the soil, it is being splashed up onto the leaves..
If you don't use rainwater, then it probably isn't blight.
Perhaps they are wanting a foliar feed or a bit of comfrey....

Thanks
I thought it seemed a bit too quick for it to gain a hold and now I hear its a bit early in the season. Pehaps its lack of water or overheating, they are in quite a bit of direct sunlight but I try to remove the cover during these hot sunny days
I'll keep going and wont buy any copper evils yet!!

Do I specifically need tumbling tomatoes, or will any bush tomato do? I'll try and get the tumbling ones, but if the garden centre doesn't have any, I'd like an alternative.
They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?
