I always used to keep it in sand, but now I don't bother and leave it the ground. Both seem to work equally well, and one's less labour intensive!

Ina, yep I do like chickens! I've got around a dozen, most of which are rescued. I'm looking to get more when I've done some more work on the garden, but that could take a while...

I can see how that would be a problem! Another good job site (though not necessarily green) is http://www.indeed.co.uk/?r=us. You can set it up to email with relevant stuff as its listed.
