WELL out of date !

Post: # 234499Post greenishfingers »

Hi,while rooting around in the garage for home-brewing kit my OH found a Boots London Bitter making kit (makes 40 pints) Date on bottom of tin says April 2000. Not being one to throw anything away, should we give it a go? Or are we heading for disaster if we do?

I'd agree with that. Like all other "out-of-date" canned products, it should be perfectly OK as long as the can isn't damaged. On the other hand, the result may well depend upon Boots London Bitter being any good in the first place :dontknow: .

EDIT: ... but you will need to get some new yeast.
