bargains

Post: # 123287Post Rosendula »

I have to tell someone. I'm really pleased with myself :queen:
I had a couple of bags of clothes that Katie has grown out of, including some really nice winter coats, so off I went to the little village about a mile away where there are lots of charity shops to drop them off. Whilst in there I found a terracotta garlic pot which I've been wanting for ages for £1.49, and a ball of unraveled wool for 40p that I've wanted to crotchet into a tea cosy. In another charity shop I was flicking through a box of framed pictures and found something out of place - a brand new single bed mattress protector for £2.50 - exactly what I wanted for Katie's bed now that she's potty training.
:pottytrain5:

I can't believe that I found so many things that I wanted in just half an hour. I can go into our city centre and wander about for hours only to come away with empty bags and feeling tired and frustrated, and a tiny little village that is closer to my house than the centre of the city I live in seems to have everything!

 I love bargainous days. today I got everything I need to make sophs two new bed protectors for under £6. that includes the poppers!!!
I'm doing them three layer. top two layers will be sewn together, it's a towel and some sheeting. the bottom one will have poppers to attach to the top layer so the plastic bit can be hand washed and dried on the airer and the toweling/sheet bit can be dried in the dryer for speed.
oh how I love my tea, tea in the afternoon. I can't do without it, and I think I'll have another cup very
ve-he-he-he-heryyyyyyy soooooooooooon!!!!
