Our friend, who we had our chickens off last year, (imaginately named, chicken John) called us the other day to say he has a couple of broody hens and he does not have enough room to have any more sitters at the moment. and would we like to "have a go" so this evening we have taken in a new lodger with 5 eggs. apparently they have all ready gone 7 days.
When we picked them up, it took us half an hour to pull our daughter away from the chicks that had hatched only a few days ago.
it's mad to think that some 4yr olds think eggs come from a cow or Asda.

It's nice to be important,
But it's more important to be nice.
