Wedding favours
My daughter is getting married in May (3rd) and she was thinking about using plant bulbs as her favours.
Like me, she lives in Liverpool (UK) and most of the guests do too. She was wondering which bulbs to choose - the idea being that they could be planted soon after the wedding, so they are not left and forgotten about. Also, she'd like people to regard the produce of the bulb, or whatever [all ideas welcome], and remember her wedding fondly; as well as being part of a green idea.
What do you think?

Everything is obvious once you know :O)
lovely idea...
Don't know what bulbs would be good though... I think you usually plant bulbs in the Autumn
could always do seeds instead

How about you look into the language of flowers and pick the appropriate seeds
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

She could get something like hyacinths or narcissus, and plant them now, and take apic of the flowers, then give them away when they have gone over, with a pic of what will be. I acquired some hyacinths and daffs as a mother's day nonsense about 4 years ago, have done nowt to them and they are still thriving. Better be careful, Milims has the right idea about language of flowers, they may be saying "It's all a sham!" and that would never do!

Don't lillies portend to death or something???
I too think this is a brilliant idea, anything has to be better than sugared almonds.
