I agree with SusieGee, sometimes in amongst all the stuff going around you lose yourself.

See if you can find a few minutes to reaffirm yourself, either with a nature walk or a meditation or some window shopping - whatever turns you on and helps you get your head straight........ then....... write your list. If you try to do a list while your head is whirling around rarely will you get the priorities the right way around.

oh yes and.......

Firstly, I haven't noticed any grumpy posts so you don't need to worry about that.

Secondly, make sure the others in the house are pulling their weight. Don't you go taking on all the housework, make sure they do their bit. Your shop is your work, if it was a 9-5 job in an office you'd make the time. So make the time for it and point out to the others that this is your job now so they can d6mn well respect it or ship out.

Sometimes it's really difficult to be tough on those you love but unless you do they won't respect you and will take advantage.

Oh and here's one from me too :hugish: cos you deserve it.

Keep it coming folks - I really need it. This morning I nearly set fire to my workshop!!!! :pale: My good old baby belling is sparkling like new now after the makeshift bain marie on top melted and disgorged molten soap which promptly caught fire

The workshop was completely filled with smoke - fortunately white, so I don't have to wash everything down again - but it blew out really easily  Another crisis averted.

Sounds like you're confirming the theory I have going at this time of year, things always seem to get a bit 'tricky' for us around March time. i.e. OH knackered from a hard winter at work. The brighter days reminding you that things need to be got going before the seasons run away with you, and in my case a LO who has several hospital appointments this time of year which I always find stressful!

I guess what I'm trying to say is we all know how you're feeling to some degree or other, and don't worry you can always bend our ears here we don't mind!

maggie it sounds like you should have a lie down in your therapy room with nice cuppa and some scrummy scones or something and take a break.

If it's any consolation my 36 year old brother just move back to mum's and he and her partner are fighting after just a few days.
Our remote ancestors said to their mother Earth, "We are yours."
Modern humanity has said to Nature, "You are mine."
The Green Man has returned as the living face of the whole earth so that through his mouth we may say to the universe, "We are one."

Hi, Im a newbie here but just wanted to add support and thanks for sharing. :salute: ..I know I get times when everything tumbles in at once and everything I do seems to confirm I should just give it all up...agree with other advice given here.time to rest (what Therapy do you practice in your room? perhaps it is time to see what you would say to a client??)and take time to evaluate, make list to stop it all whirling round..make a list of things you Have Done...nice to know we are all Only Human.

Just a little update then I promise I'll stop moaning  Last week I managed to set fire to the workshop, the element in the bain marie went and we managed to blowup - blue flash was pretty - the heat sealer not once but 3 times :dontknow:

Anyway, after a brief meltdown on Tuesday we've cleaned up the workshop, bought and fitted new elements to both the bain marie and the heat sealer and everything got back on track.

On Thursday, the electrician (who was supposed to come before Easter) arrived and announced he'd start work the next day. We desperately need the work doing - I've been working off plug boards and so has OH - but I still haven't been able to make anything and the shop remains closed for yet another bank holiday!

Oh, and the reason I didn't tell him to p!$$ of? He's the only electrician for 70 miles (in any direction) :( I'm thinking of retraining  )

Oh dear Maggie didn't realise you were still having a hard time of it and the room not yet ready...... so here's another hug! :hugish: As mentioned above lists are good things, sometimes I make fun of my husband cos he writes pretty much a list a day but when there's so much stuff to do that your mind is just whirring out of control it really helps to write it down, and helps even more when you get to cross something off!

Hope the electrician gets his act together.

I too write out lists which, if I could remember where I put them would help a great deal, but hey GA next week is only seven days away so just think, most of this will be behind you and with luck, the Muck bucket will be empty. :hugish:
