I'm sorry....

Post: # 193906Post Green Aura »

...if I'm being a bit grumpy at the moment. I've just reread a couple of my last few posts and they seem a bit sharp. Possibly a brief explanation is required.

1)I've just been to my second funeral in a week.

2)My daughter, whom I adore, has moved back in with us (along with 3 more cats) and the house is bursting at the seams.

3)My mother, who has heart problems is getting nastier and ruder by the day (a recent chest infection seems to have caused this) and we're all trying to excuse her to anyone who calls in. And finally...

4)My shop should have opened for Easter. Not only am I not open yet but I haven't even started making stuff yet. My workshop was packed to the ceiling with daughter stuff until this weekend - we seem to have cleared it about three times in the last few weeks :?

On the upside, my therapy room is now finished, but unless I open soon it'll be useless. Funnily enough, I can't seem to get myself going and feel like crying quite a lot :pale: :dontknow:

I'll be fine once I get started

I was so tempted just to post 3 hugs there.....

Maggie, you can only do as much as you can do, sadly. Why not have a word with the daughter & ask for some help? Lock your mum in her room with the tv remote & a plate of cake & biccies (she'll be fine for a while!) & set aside a day where you write a prioroty to-do list & get it done... it'll spur you on to do more things afterwards & maybe everyone else will see that you are actually serious about getting the jobs done!

In the meantime, come & be a grump here, you know we don't mind!!

My Mother is being a pain up the bum too. She came to visit today, first of all she returned the christmas present that I gave her :? .
Then whilest I was feeding the baby, I asked if she would stir the dinner that was cooking on the hob. Off she went and ten mins later I can smell burning, so I shout and ask if she is ok. Five mins later I stop the baby bfing, and pop downstairs. The dinner is burnt, she hasn't taken it off the heat and she said that it wasn't her fault as it was already starting to catch.

Can't blame you for feeling a bit depressed with all that going on!

I went through something similar over the winter - it is hard to get yourself out of a rut once you are in one. I recon the trick is not to beat yourself up for not achieving things.

:hugish: Hope things improve.

That does all sound stressful! :hugish: from me as well. Try not to let your mother bring you down (I know that's easier said than done, believe me!). Three new cats as well, I bet they're all wandering about looking at you suspiciously until they settle

Hi ,
Have some :hugish: from me too, with all that going on its not surprising you're feeling a bit down. I'd go along with Julie's advice, its good to get yourself a list and cross things off when done , the sense of achievement helps no end. And you can put small very achievable things on there so as you can cross them off easily. I sometimes make a list then add to it as I've done stuff, so as I can cross them off, cheating I know , but it works.

I agree with SusieGee, sometimes in amongst all the stuff going around you lose yourself.

See if you can find a few minutes to reaffirm yourself, either with a nature walk or a meditation or some window shopping - whatever turns you on and helps you get your head straight........ then....... write your list. If you try to do a list while your head is whirling around rarely will you get the priorities the right way around.

oh yes and.......
