I see loads of things all over the net (including on here) which drive me bananas. I've even been known (yes, quiet , innocent little me!) to go in with both feet and righteous indignation. Only to be shot down in flames because I'd reacted too hastily without enough thought. Being right, I've discovered, bears little logical relationship to the reaction obtainable by telling the world just how right I am.

Nowadays, I'm happy to engage my brain a bit more before I post. I'm still right, though.

I think Mikes got it, the trick is to give your opinion without being unpleasant. Its especially difficult on tinterweb where grins and facial expressions cannot help to diffuse potentially inflammatory remarks so more care does need to be taken with this sort of thing. Having a read through a post and thinking "if someone wrote that about me, would I get offended?.." takes little or no time but does help to prevent unintended offense...

Much back patting for the moderators though. Doesnt seem like a fun job sometimes :(
