Rather clever - maybe too clever for the general population? Or would they interpret it as "A tissue"? Or possibly if the spelling is At"ish"oo, that might prevent the cold-connection... (Just thinking out loud.)

UCOL... oh god I'm going to... *ack* *ack*

I go with the general opinion here that the "ish" is a selling point, and I'd consider a magazine simply called "Ish" would attract a certain amount of media attention... although isn't self-explanatory of course. "The Good(ish) Life" has the same problem for folks under 30... mind you, what's our demographic?

I think on balance I'd change the website to "Ish" and leave the mag as "Self-sufficient(ish)"

I think I agree with the majority in that the ish was what interested me to this site. I think it should be named to attract the type of people who you'd want to read it and it is clear what it is going to be about, with that in mind,

How about something like -

'The Self Sufficentist' or 'The good lifer'

The mag will be a subscription one as well as specialist outlets in the UK. It might be available in downloadable Pdf format too. So yes it will be available in the US we'll have links on this site to the magazines site when it's up and running.
