What's in a Name?

Post: # 8438Post Andy Hamilton »

The magazine now will not be called selfsufficientish, that way we can keep both seperate and not detract from the site. The thing is we can't think of a name.

The best names we have so far are

Scrump
Green Tree

and really that is pretty much it. So over to you lot. Any ideas? If you do come up with a good name that we use then you can have a free lifetimes subscription to the magazine.

How about "Ish"... then we could all wait in eager anticipation for the next ish of Ish ;)

I think it could be good to have a reasonably close link between the site and the magazine - I think "selfsufficientish" is an excellent name and captures well where a lot of people (myself included) are at.

Depends what you're trying to portray..

Ample
Bounty
Verdure
Fresh
Sage
Moxie
Vigor
Crust
Growth
Resource

... dunno really  Like Scrump but it sounds a bit like nicking as opposed to self reliance...?

I still like Self Sufficientish - it's the 'ish' that caught my eye and lead me to this forum in the first place. I think lots of us identify with the 'ish'.

I also feel that Sufficientish is an excellent title and felt when you mentioned it that it would be a shame not to call the magazine that and associate it with this site...? However, it's your mag :)

I'm still with Selfsufficient-ish... I really can't think of anything that would be better than that.

Andy - why does it have to be different??? I can't see that it would detract from this site at all - but rather the two would complement each other.

Just my tuppence worth.
