Ah... whoops I didn't realise you were an oversea poster, sorry

I'll keep an eye out for you anyway while I'm surfing.

Update:

WE HAVE A DIAGNOSIS!!!!!

Finally, one of the hundreds of blood tests came back positive. I have late stage Lyme's disease. Treatment has already begun, and if it works I should have my brain back in about a week.

I had been tested for Lyme's several times, but it seems the usual tests for it only catch it during a certain window during the development of the disease, and also depends on a strong immune reaction to the bacterium. My immune system is shoddy at best, even now it won't recognize that there's an infection there. But the doctor found a lab in California that does a highly sensitive Lyme's test, and even then it showed little or no immune reaction. But the bacterium was detected. Or at least, the neurotoxin that Lyme's produced was detected, which is what was messing with my brain.

Just in time for my birthday!

Just shows how vigilant one should be about those pesky little ticks. :( (or can you catch it from other things?)

I hope you will make a speedy recovery Ellendra.
