I had an elderly friend who would say "catty-ka-slunk-wise" when something was catty-cornered, that is, diagonally opposite of something.

When we were in Belgium, I also picked up a Dutch word that I have been known to throw around out of context - Gesloten - love it! One of those words that sounds disgusting but isn't
