Open Invitation

Post: # 103542Post yugogypsy »

Hello All,

I don't know who goes travelling and who doesn't, but this is an open invitation to all Isher's to come to BC if they're in Canada and see a bit of Vancouver Island.

Lots of gardening, farming and vineyards to see. So Everyone is welcome

I don't have a lot of room, but I'd still love the company.

 Lois

Ooohhhh - that sounds soooooo tempting! If the Wombats are anything to go by I'd say meeting up with other ishers is great fun!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Sounds like a good plan Fee

We could hook up with Isher's all over, after all, our membership is so diversified and we've got people everywhere, maybe one of the travel agencies would do it for us!

Yes Tea,

I have a small horse, his name is Buster and he's been a kids horse most of his life, so of course she could come and ride.

I also have a small donkey that loves kids and lots of petting.

 and HUGS to your little one

Oh Lois - that sounds very tempting! Thanks for the invite! Maybe, once I retire  (a while off yet, unless redundancy hits first), I'll do a round-the-world trip and visit all the Ishers...

Hiya Lois,

Thanks for the invite. I'd love to come but it's hard enough getting John to leave the county, let alone the country. He's never even owned a passport!
Mind you, say the word 'farming' and he soon changes his tune - it's amazing how far he'll go for a busmans holiday!

That's an occupational disease - our shepherd's wife complains that they can never go anywhere on holiday where there's no sheep; and even I tend to end up somewhere in the hills, with a view of a few Shetties!

Never a truer word Ina.

I'm stiff waiting for my honeymoon and we got married fifteen months ago.
John did suggest that we go on a barge holiday. My first thoughts were 'if all I get to do is look at bl**dy hedgerows, I can do that at home!'.

Then I discovered that he actually wanted to hire a barge from foxton locks, a matter of a few miles from home, so he could do his own shepherding every evening.

So I'll probably do what I did last year and take Rocky with me and go camping on the coast. At least Rocky is easy company and growls if someone comes too close to the tent at night so I feel safe going on my own. If you enjoy holidays, NEVER MARRY A FARMER!
