Quite a lot of money for what it is, I think... Don't know what the prices are like around there. But you are right - I'd love a place like that, too!
Better in Scotland, though. Don't want the hassle of learning to understand yet another language.

For the amount of land it's not too bad for the money.ina wrote:Quite a lot of money for what it is, I think... Don't know what the prices are like around there. But you are right - I'd love a place like that, too!

My friends recently sold their house in France with 13 acres of land which included a sustainable wood, lake and swimming pool, fully rennovated 3 bed house, 3 bedroom gite and a studio for the same in euros!

nice setting but I cannot believe someone would take pics of a place in that state
surely each room cleared of junk & cleaned would have been better
no problem if not refitted/decorated thats not a problem ect but holy mo its abysmal *presentation* in my opinion
f you are asking for 250k you need to swoosh a broom around first & have an empty clean space.

Interesting, but I reckon it would be pretty bleak in winter!

That's what I mean - they do speak English, of sorts, here, too!Ellendra wrote:thecornflake wrote:

Yes, but WHICH english?
I have been to Wales, and I loved it - nothing against the dialect, either. As long as they don't all switch to Welsh as soon as there is a foreigner in the vicinity... I was amazed at how much Welsh I heard spoken in Bangor!

Er, well I might be alone on this BUT there is a strong reason for selfsufficientish being the urban guide to self sufficiency I could not take on somewhere like that as I would feel so alone.
I need people around me. To make somewhere like that in the middle of a city would be my ideal home. I loved living in Bath in many ways as you could walk around the middle of a city and see greenery.
