'Crofting vision' to be published

A blueprint for supporting the crofting system and encouraging more young people to live in rural areas will be unveiled later.

The previous Scottish Executive set up an inquiry which surveyed more than 1,000 people in crofting communities.

It found that many people feared for the future of the landholding system and small-scale agriculture.
