What 'must have' gadget now resides under the kitchen sink?
Following silver ether's 'most used' thread, what have you bought that is now never used?
My pasta dryer (looks like a cross between a swastica with branches on a stick and a wooden tv ariel) takes longer to assemble than to make the pasta so that's in the back of the cupboard somewhere.
Use to have serveral electrical things such as a toasted sandwhich maker, electric knives and so on, which were all culled when we moved!

An iron!
No, probably a toasted sandwich maker as well. I lived off toasties at uni (and used to cook things on the plates cos we didn't have kitchens) but haven't used it at all since we moved here.

They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?

Same here with the iron! I don't hate any chore but ironing, and over the years all our clothes have been replaced with those that never need it. But somewhere in the back of the linen cupboard, there is an iron. Oh, and a hair dryer! I've never used one, but we had one on hand for visitors. Now it only ever gets used to revive livestock!

Oh I do have a hair dryer somewhere... I shall be digging it out to do the cling film double glazing thingmy.
I have several 'gadgets' but I do use them all... except from a waffle iron which my sister freecycled in my direction, I haven't used it yet. (anyone know how to make waffle batter?)
We were given an electric wok as a wedding present... that wins the prize for the most useless gadget I have ever owned.

we have a brevel pie magic pie making machine - supposed to do two little pies in 8 minutes. i think we used it once and we used bread instead of pastry so we could have massively stuffed toasties! now resides on top of the kitchen cupboards......still we only paid £5 for it off our next door neighbour. might see if i can sell it back!

A stone-burr grain mill. I tried to use it several times, it was impossible to turn, and it never ground anything fine enough to even count as cornmeal-consistancy. Amaranth grains just fell right through it.
I also have a pie-maker, but I haven't been able to use it yet. I bought it off Ebay without realizing that it wasn't wired for american power
I need about 10 inches of heat-resistant wire to redo the inside, otherwise it could destroy the temp control inside it.
