Pensioner pland to demolish Sir Terry Lehay's house!

Post: # 95564Post Thurston Garden »

Lehay is the CEO of the dreaded T3sco who have applied for consent to demolish numerous houses to build a store. One of the residents who's house would be demolished has applied for consent to demolish Lehay's mansion and develop a Community Garden

See the application here

Fantastic! I understand that the application may be hindered by a lack of finance to build the project. If this is the case then I would be very happy to donate £10 to the planned garden. I may know one or two other people willing to do this too. In fact, if we could find a few thousand people to pledge money subject to PP being granted we could be on to something.

T :puke: :puke: :puke: o say that chucking these people out of their homes will create 2000 jobs. No, it will move 2000 jobs, which is not the same thing at all.

Let's get that bandwagon rolling!

It will actually destroy more jobs than it creates - as in a superstore setting you can sell a lot more stuff per employee than in small shops...

And those lucky employees will be on minimum wage (& most working part time hours) but the vast range of T3sco Value cr4p products and a miserable staff discount will have them spending almost all of their income in the store that they work in, and so keep the money from these 2000 jobs out of the local economy.

Dunbar Community Council fell for the Azda head office pitch last year and are now starting to realise just what a mistake it was. "Oooh, we will have to creat a post in the council to see how we can revitalise the High Street because most of the retailers takings are down by 25% since Azda opened" :banghead:

It's good to see someone making a stand against T***o! I'd definitely put in a tenner towards the cause.
