wonderful fabric

Post: # 94880Post mrsflibble »

one of the few pieces of fabric I've bought that's NOT second hand, AND it's designer! what is the world coming to?!
two fat quarters (22" x 18") of Alexander Henry "Calaveras" fabric, one black with small skulls, one red with big skulls and glittery finish.

ebay ;) I'm getting links from a friend for a US ebay store who will ship internationally and sell this kind of groovy fabric in bigger chunks. the uk shops only seem to sell the 22"x18" pieces.

I just adore the stuff, and I was really economical with it too. I have one 1"x2" strip left over out of the two tops.

I would have loved this stuff when I was a goth lol!

Yet again Mrs F - you are a Wonder! Love the fabric - and the model is very cute - she may have a career ahead of her!

OK, you got me! I have seen the term about but have no idea what it means so........what is an "emo". I am assuming it is nothing to do with the guy I went to school with whose last name was Emerson and was referred to by all as Emo!

I have a feeling the dressmaker might have a new career as well. They do look very well made. Really impressive.

Taken from Wiki

Emo is also often associated with a certain fashion. The term "emo" is sometimes stereotyped with tight jeans on males and females alike, long fringe (bangs) brushed to one side of the face or over one or both eyes, dyed black, straight hair, tight t-shirts (sometimes with short-sleves) which often bear the names of rock bands (or other designed shirts), studded belts, belt buckles, canvas sneakers or skate shoes or other black shoes (often old and beaten up) and thick, black horn-rimmed glasses.[13][14][15] Emo fashion has changed with time. Early trends included straight, unparted hair, tightly fitting sweaters, button-down shirts, and work jackets

That's ma boy LOL
