Would a radiation suit protect against bird flu? Not that I am paranoid or anything

I doubt it. Virusses (is that the Plural? :? ) don't radiate.

Just in case you're serious, Andy, you can't catch bird flu unless you undergo prolonged (day in, day out) exposure to infected birds. You can even eat infected birds and suffer no ill effects.

In correct Latin (what I remember of it) I think it should be viri.

If the plural of Dice is Die
the plural of Mice is My

The plural of Virus must be Virususies

Ahh the beauty of the English language

I believe, boringly, it is viruses. At least I hope so, cos I've been proof-reading medical documents all week and that's what I've been putting!
They're not weeds - that's a habitat for wildlife, don't you know?

Viri, virii and viruses are all correct. Using viruses means that people will know what you're talking about.

I doubt it because the filter may filter out radiation but not viruses.

Please delete this if I'm stating the obvious but I've just learnt this about bird flu and I found it very interesting. Birds get flu, it can be passed between birds and occasionally onto individual pigs. Bird flu can't be passed between pigs. The danger is, if a pig gets bird flu and it mutates so that it is transmissable between pigs it will also be transmissable between humans (because we're so alike biologically). Transmission between birds and pigs is most likely to happen in an enviroment where they are kept together, as in some rural settings in the Far East, which is why they're monitering so much there. I think that's right, I'm just the other half of a biologist and not the actual biologist.

One of the more far out suggestions for what the Black Death actually was, is bird flu. Interesting ay?
