Polypropylene

I was wondering if a Polypropylene container is safe to grow things in? I know it's Class 5 recyclable and they use it for food containers, but I just want to make sure it's not going to leach any nasty chemicals into the soil before I use it. Thanks!

I grow loads of stuff in all sorts of 'plastic' pots, cups, trays. It seems better than wasting them. The plants don't complain and they are mostly planted out later so hopefully I'm not poisoning myself
