diabetic chocolate

Does any one know if you can melt diabetic chocolate as you can regular chocolate?

From what I remember, it doesn't do so very well with melting. I used it in baking in the past, but only grated.

Do you need it for icing? I've never tried that with fructose - but I sometimes make chocolate icing with normal icing sugar and (organic!) palm fat or butter and cocoa. Maybe that works.

Or - if it's a sponge, you could spread some whipped cream on top (no sugar), and dust it with cocoa - at least it would look chocolatey, although of course it wouldn't keep for long.
