Do you know about an event that you want to talk about? Is there a campaign you have started, are involved in or want to start? Inspired by Marvin Gaye this is your place to tell the world what's going on.

Recently joined justfortheloveofit.com - a bit like the LETS scheme but no credits, just simple helping. Would recommend it!

Hi
didn't want to upset a new thread.

Does anybody have info on earthwise events?
Is this outfit reliant on commercial gimmickry and profit?
too many interests, not enough cash.

Their bona fide as far as I can tell - It's run by the guy who manages the "Alternative Media and Renewable Energies" field at BGG. Hoping Earthwise will be one of our festival-visits this summer...

I've just joined justfortheloveofit.org today, right before I joined this forum, in fact :) Unfortunately there are no other freeconomists in my immediate area, but I contacted my local Freecycle rep about it, and I plan to stick up some flyers in the area. :)

I'm having a look at it right now.

Earthwise is on my agenda for this year too.

Well I use the term 'sock monkey' quite loosely ... given that I actually make very strange sock creatures! Any sock with a different coloured heel can be made into a 'traditional' sock monkey.
