Related by marriage.
Guys
Since the first Mr Thomzo and I split up several years ago we have remained friends and I get on very well with his new wife. So well in fact that we go out on girly nights out together and share a love of modern jive.
When people ask how we know each other we get a bit stumped. She came up with "related by marriage" which I thought was rather clever. I do think, however, that in this day and age there should be a proper name for the relationship between a person and their ex-partner's current spouse or a current spouse's ex-partner (if you see what I mean).
Any ideas?

hhhmmmmm - I guess it depends on the relationship. I know what I call my x-partners current spouse!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Re: Related by marriage.
Well I must say that this is the first time I have heard of an ex-wife being friends with the new-wife. I don't often hear of the ex-wife even being on speaking terms with the ex-husband ...
You are still friends with your ex-husband and you are friends with his wife, so can't you just be friends?
