Biodegradeable/Recyclable DVD cases?

Post: # 78381Post godfreyrob »

I am going to start selling my software via garden centres, etc in the spring and have asked my supplier of DVD cases if they knew if there were any out there that were either made from recyclable plastic or were biodegradeable. They had asked the manufacturer and they did not know either!

Does anyone know of anywhere that supplies cases that can either be recycled or are biodegradeable?

cardboard? - don't really need to be in plastic cases do they.

You could also buy or collect old plastic cases from freecycle or a scrapstore or something. Obviously you wouldn't want to use broken ones. I've got a pile of them downstairs which are en route to a scrap store.

Cardboard would be good if I could find one - but it would need to hold the CD firmly and look good - I don't think people would buy it if the case looked secondhand.

If you can get your hands on fine cerated cardboard it can look really spectacular when 'boxed'.
