orange pips
orange pips
We have a lot of oranges that we use for juice and make the odd batch of marmalade so we get a lot of orange pips - does anyone know if its ok to freeze the pips and use them later say for jam making when its the soft fruit season rather than buying pectin ?

Hi Lorrayne
I don't know the answer to your question I'm afraid (although I can't see why not).
What I have done with pips before now is to colour them with ink or food colourant. Then dried them on the radiator and used them for decorating things - adding to pot pourri or putting in the vase with dried flowers and so on. It's probably irresponsible of me to suggest using them with candles so I won't
