So you know how great Salsify is as a veg, what about Cavero Nero, great leaves all through the winter , then in Spring sprouting broccolli like flowers! Takes up half as much room as broccolli

I did read a great joke:

Q: What are the Kiwis doing to help stop climate change?

A: Dropping the Aussies off on the way home!

I didn't even know there was some sort of rugby event on until I read it here. Not all Aussies are into big, hairy men wrestling in the mud trying to get their hands on their balls...

Gidday

Well yeah.

Bugger Eh!

I got a picture emailed to me which was of a manaquin wearing a bra sorta thing which was just a couple of slings holding up the breasts.

It was called an All Black Bra, all the support but no cup.

Yeah Buger again.

Oh what a shame for you Kiwis and Aussies!

I didn't know there was any rugby on (have mentioned before I dont do watching sport much)
but happened to be visiting family in Cardiff the other weekend, and it took us ages to get through the toll booths on the Severn bridge, and i saw lots of people wearing black shirts with that fern symbol on and flags saying things like 'go Kiwis' and turned to OH and said 'what dya spose is happening?'

I think we were the only ones there who had no idea there was a match on.... France vs NZ. stil, teh atmosphere around the stadium was really nice (the French went in for more face painting than the Kiwis, who mostly just wore black....)

Sadly I am all too aware that there has been a rugby world cup - David has watched EVERY game... and even been down to Murrayfield for one of them.

I do quite like rugby but would prefer to watch live rather than on the telly.

It's the final on Saturday - England V South Africa and it should be a good (if fairly brutal) game.

I do like to see the pre game haka when that's done.

The trouble the Kiwis had was they were playing against 16. It has been proved the ref made big mistakes, but of course he was justb a Pom.

I am a rugby widow (without even being married!) My other half is in Paris today to watch the final. I am sure he will have a fab day but equally so will I.... I am going to get in the garden for a while and then have a bit of a cooking fest this afternoon. This evening I will watch the last 10 mins of the match, just so I know what type of phonecall I shall expect from France later on tonight or in the morning!

Pffft, it's a stupid game anyway  kick-catch-run-kick-ruck-seemingly random penalty decision-kick-3 points-kick blah blah blah for 80 minutes. Yes I am dissapointed.
Back to football again now thankfully, no watching egg chasing again for another four years  .

I must have watched about 6 matches but I still am no clearer on how the stupid game is played! Why is it so complicated?!  I thought last night's match was very boring actually - the only fun bits are when someone breaks through and scores a try.
