Hi form South East Kent
Hi all, I had a read this morning of a few topics on the forums. Great site.
We started to grow our own veg this year with our 4 children, we have had loads of great fresh veg all summer and the kids have loved the planting right through to preparation, cooking and eating. Our garden is fairly small but we have made the best of it.
We have close friends with allotments and have discovered that true statement you always want more space to grow. We now have our names on the waiting list with our local council.
Been spending the last couple of weeks making jam, plum (free, from a friends tree) and blackberry (free, wild from local brambles of course). Also pickling, freezing and drying what we can from the herbs, fruits and veggies we grew. We had exchanged plants too with friends and family earlier this year as well as produce over the last few months, the variation has been fantastic and very tasty.
Hope to be able to swap info and experiences with all you guys.
Justin & Annmarie.
