THE SUN IS SHINING

Post: # 68925Post Annpan »

I don't car if I jinx it, we haven't had any sun here for a week.

I have hung out 4 loads worth of washing (I have no other way of drying stuff). Building work has just started on the house and we have no heating or hot water.

But I am jumping for joy that the sun is shining :wav:

It is now much warmer in the garden than it is in the house :?

Can you send some this way please? I may have to resort to the tumble drier!!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Ann, you seem to have had it a bit earlier than us - we only got a bit of sunshine in the evening... I'm hoping for some tomorrow - I have washing to dry, too!

Loads of sunshine here but I'm stuck inside! Actually it has been quite a sunny month so far but still on the cool side - but that suits me fine.

yes the sun was shining here, gorgeous blue skies, sun glasses on. Still chill outside, only about 12C, but about 24 inside (passive solar heating is great).
Oh and sorry you UK lot, it is winter here. (I shouldn't gloat but the long grey, damp winters was one of the reasons I left the UK)

yes I really do miss those heady august evenings walking on the beach wrapped in fleeces, scarves, hats, gloves etc  (sorry)
but hey, we accidentally moved to one of the hottest places in NZ with summer temperatures last summer up to 37C and that was supposedly a cold summer (I really am not looking forward to a 40C summer believe me), so you can't have everything.
