Have 2 helpers, might finally get an apprentice

Hi Folks,

I have two helpers here from just across in Vancouver, complete newbies to gardening, just 18 & 19 years old, but willing and determined.

We did some weeding and harvested some more garlic this morning and I'm not quite sure what to do this afternoon.

I'm letting them read a lot of my books on gardening and self-sufficiency, because thats what they say they want, they've even read books I have, so it shows they are definitely determined to do this, all I can do is help the best I can.

I finally had an answer to my post on a Canadian site, for a full time apprentice, the lady only lives 11 miles North of me and has a motorhome to live in,comes with some gardening experience and her own supply of home saved seeds.

I meet and interview her some time this week.

Wish me luck, I'd sure like to get this place up and selling veg next year

She had company arrive early, so we've put it off until next week, I am having 2nd thoughts about it as she is older than i and I don't know if there would be a personality clash.
