Hello!!
I am very proud of myslef on so many selfsufficintish levels!!
Firstly I went for a bike ride with my boyfriend (good for the environement, see the views etc) and along the way we found a plum tree with lovely yellow plums, they were quite tiny but tasted lovely.
So we picked about 45, (bear in mind the were tiny)
When we got home they were a bit bruised so decided to make a crumble, and I noticed that there was wuite a bit of flesh left on the stones, so I put all the stones in a pan with a bit of water and sugar and boiled it up, and when it had reduced right down I sived it and produced a minuscule but delicious bit of jam!!
I am so proud!!
Home made jam...of sorts

jam
That's great! Very ss-ish.
I've been waiting for the fruit on a few plum trees in the common green (or how is that called in English) to ripen. I'm thinking they are ornamental plum trees (tiny, dark red fruit and red leaves too) but the taste was good, though not quite ripe yet.
Hope to follow in your footsteps, jam-wise :-)
Regards, Jandra
