Just to let you know that the allotments at eastleigh in Hampshire are in the high court today. the council want to take them over and give the to developers to build on! That's the story on BBC "south today" local news, that's with a (I belive) a 600 people waiting list for a plot

Hi kimbobill. It's all to do with money, isn't it. The more people that get involved the better chance of keeping the allotments. Somebody needs to get a petition up and running to show the council that they are on the wrong track. Best of luck.

Where is the sensibilityt these days? The house that are going to be built will have postage stamp gardens so that the inhabitants will be forced to go to the nearest supermarket.
The soil is wasted.
Someone needs to start getting a clue about this kind of stuff. In a few years, all of our food will be imported because we will have built f*cking houses on everything.
