Parnsip / Fungus question??

Post: # 60171Post mew »

Hi

I started some parnsips off in my unheated greenhouse about 3 weeks ago and theyve started sprouting through.

I went to water them yesterday evening and noticed what I can only describe as an orange type fungus on the cardboard rolls and a tiny bit on top of the soil on a couple of them.

Just wondered if anyone has any idea as to what this might be, if its harmful, do I need to dispose and start again and if so, can I put it in the compost, or will it be okay left to its own devices.

Many thanks

I dont know what it is but I have had the same thing when I did my squashes in loo roll middles. I wondered if it was from the compost I had used but if youve got the same thing its probably fro the rolls. I havent worried about it.
