Lawnmowers-PHOOEY

We have 2 lawnmowers, after working flawlessly last year, the good one has decided it won't start.

So Rick is pulling apart the second one, which hasn't run in Lord only hows long-first he found it had a gas tank full of water, now he's cleaning a bunch of goop out of the fuel intake, then we have to clean the plug, flywheel and magneto

Might be tomorrow afternoon before the lawn gets mowed, but I think the yukky old thing will run-I've seen Briggs & Stratton mowers in worse shape that got running again.

But the good mower-thats a puzzle for a far more mechanical mind than ours.And hopefully not too expensively

Property taxes at the end of June-the improvements and a new policing tax put my taxes up nearly $200 CDN.

Hope we can make it through July on our garden and any extra money Rick makes!

Dig the lawn up and plant stuff! I nagged for years to dig up the lawn and was not allowed. The solution was to rent the corner of a nearby field hehe. Now I have 2 acres.....one of which is erm, grass. For hens and pigs of course

No can do here I'm afraid-I have to keep it mowed as it our only access to the back yard and with an acre we have a lot of grass which would be a fire hazard if we don't mow it.

I have 4 garden plots now totalling 3000 sq. ft. and that is more than enough.

But thank you for the input and do you know what would keep the clutch from engaging on a Sears Craftsman lawnmower?

My "lawn mowers" are four-legged, and so far they've never let me down... Well, they've pushed me down occasionally. It still leaves me with corner bits to clear out, but as fire hazard fortunately is not a problem here, they mostly turn into "wild life habitats".
