But the government is still pushing rooftop micro turbines. If the maximum for turbines is £2,500, then the Windsave turbine will still be funded. This is at a time when the data coming in from buyers is showing a worst performance than even sceptics predicted. Not one buyer has posted on the web performance figures anywhere near those forcast buy Windsave, and B&Q have still not put any on the roofs of their stores to save themselves money. If the subsidy for micro turbines was ended, then more money could be given to better means of renewable energy or storage, which is just as important - see www.beaconpower.com
