Inflatable packaging

I've just received some goods that I ordered over the internet. Inside the box was the sort of packaging that is made of plastic "pillows". Long strips of plastic about 6 inches wide sealed at regular intervals and filled with air.

I did think about a neck cushion for when I go to sleep at my desk.

Apart from that I'm stumped. Any ideas anyone?

I bought a memory card for my camera.

The card came packaged in one of those plastic card things that takes a pair of scisors to open - it was about 4"x3".

The BOX the card came in was 12" x 14" and full of that blow up stuff. The card wasn't even wrapped in the blow up stuff. The box had been filled with it, the card placed gently on top, and the box sealed. It would have been equally protected in an envelope

Ha - yeah. You should have seen the sizes of the two boxes that my order came in. It was only a few bits of cosmetics and stuff from Virgin Vie. The whole lot would have fitted into a large envelope and yet they sent two boxes which filled the boot of my estate car! The only good thing was the boxes themselves. They are seriously re-usable.

Don't think I'll be buying from them again.

Anyway - another idea is to stuff the pillows into a pillowcase and let the cats have it as a bed (as if they don't have enough other places to sleep).

LOL - that would last less than 30 seconds with my cats. They like to knead their beds with their claws before settling down ... BANG!

Some people use bubblewrap for stress relief, popping all the bubbles. You could save these for a time when you have some major stress to deal with.

Good idea except that the "greenhouse" is already completely covered in bubble wrap. It's not really a greenhouse more a lean-to shed with some old church windows on one side so it gets really draughty. The bubble wrap is brilliant though.

Perhaps's I'll follow muddypause's advice and pop the bubble wrap then use this to insulate it instead.
