evacuated tube, vaccuum tube, flat plate collector - come again?!
Anyone like to impart their knowledge and experience, what´s best? what´s a waste of time?
I´ve been quoted €1800 for a chinese vacuum tube collector, 195litres - is this questionably cheap?

-it's a fairly typical price! - you'd need to add quite a lot to that to have it fitted!
It's not widely known, but the heat tube technology is actually a Chinese invention - developed in one of their universities in the early 80's. Most of the tubed systems worldwide are made in China, often rebranded by Swiss and German companies, and then offered at inflated prices!
