Ancient names for herbs - interesting list :)
This is the largest compilation of ancient names for herbs on the net (unless it has been nicked off my by someone else! lol). It took months to find all these names and am very proud of this list!
In ancient times herbal brews, healing elixirs and spells written by witches, wise women and medicine men and women contained items such as “eye of newtâ€Â

I didn't toss it aside, Sal - I spent about half an hour checking Culpeper's and Potters, PFAF, the RSPGB database, and a bunch of "shakespeare was a magician" stuff on the net. I came up with that answer after reading two or three pagan herbalist sites. Sorry if I seemed flippant, I was kind of hoping you might have found something.
