Well being the time of year and all that sorta stuff, I reckon ewe jokers will appreciate this true story that I witnessed with mine own little eyes many moons ago. It isn't really about self sufficiency but more like over sufficiency.

A Honikiwi Christmas

For many years, it was a tradition for all the farmers in the Honikiwi District, except those who were going outside the district for dinner, to start Christmas Day with a few beers at the Doe Boys’ place. The Doe boys were a couple of bachelor brothers who farmed in the Turitea Valley.
